Genealogist and Tour Guide

Ian Darragh is a qualified genealogist and tour guide with My Ireland Family Heritage. Originally from Dublin, Ian moved to Trim, County Meath with his wife Aisling 13 years ago. It was then that Ian fell in love with the history of the Boyne Valley. Ian was captivated by the history and scenery of Trim such as Trim Castle 1169AD, Yellow Steeple and Newtown Monuments along with Irelands’ Oldest in use Bridge to name but a few. It was then that Ian embarked upon a wonderful journey of studying genealogy and then tour guiding and obtained his QQI Diploma in Tour guiding from Portobello College in Dublin and separately his genealogy diploma. Ian leads the reconnaissance team and loves nothing than unearthing hidden family gems within the reconnaissance to ensure you have a special and meaningful day to remember whilst Walking in the Footsteps of Your Ancestors.
