The Rehberg Family Unusual Documents
Successful Findings – Ryan and Sandy Rehberg Family
Sean and Aisling were absolutely wonderful. We corresponded with them for several months and they were able to find heritage information for both of our families as far back as 1709.
Ryan Rehbergs story was special .The Palatines were granted free land South of Limerick at Castle Matrix Rathkeale in Ireland in 1709 after escaping Germany.
Ryan came to My Ireland Family heritage wondering if we could find his family so far back. We identified the exact Locations for Church, Graves and a fantastic find off the beaten track the Original Walls from the very First House of the Family in Ireland in the early 1700s. Ryan made a comparison with his Family Chart with a member of the Switzer Family whom Seán had discovered prior to their visit to Ireland and were welcomed into their home to all their astonishments they actually end up as distant cousins.
Having customised an Historic Tour of Meath also ( see One Day Tours) Seán also organised a Family Genealogy Tour for Ryans wife Sandy to Leitrim .The My Ireland Team found the exact Location of the Original Home of Francis Kilkenny in Leitrim who left for the Americas in the 1860s. It was wonderful Sandy said to be able to walk in the Ruins of the Old building which was hidden away in a Field and took a small portion of stone home with her, “Without Seán we just would never have found this as it was on a Framers land and driving to it was so remote up a small Local Road. My Husband could never have driven this ,Seán expertise is second to none.”
